St. Moritz is a well-known, premier ski resort with a glamorous feel to it. The resort is split into two areas with totally different vibes. St. Moritz Dorf is all about luxury, with streets lined with designer shops like Rolex, Hermès, and Cartier. The Corviglia ski area is right above Dorf, and you can hop on a funicular that takes you straight there. St. Moritz Bad is down by the lake and is more laid-back and less flashy. The views of the lake are still stunning, and the vibe is a little more relaxed. The clientele of St. Moritz is a real mix, but from international jet-setters to serious skiers, they all come for the epic slopes and top-notch snow. St. Moritz is one of those rare places that’s glamorous and gorgeous but also a proper ski resort with a rich alpine vibe.
St. Moritz is a dream for winter sports lovers, with four main ski areas - Corviglia, Corvatsch, Diavolezza, and Lagalb. Corviglia is the biggest and most popular spot, with 155 km of slopes to suit all levels. Beginners can cruise wide blue runs, while more confident skiers will love the rolling reds and Olympic black runs. Freestylers can hit the Crowland Snowpark, and early birds can enjoy freshly groomed pistes with the ‘White Carpet’ experience. For powder lovers and night owls, Corvatsch is a must. Sitting at 3,303 meters, it’s got 120 km of runs with reliable snow and descents like the Hahnensee black run. You can also ski under the stars every Friday on Switzerland’s longest illuminated night slope. Meanwhile, if you’re chasing adrenaline, head to Diavolezza Lagalb, where you’ll find steep slopes, freeride zones, and Switzerland’s longest glacier run - a breathtaking 10 km route over the Morteratsch Glacier. For something uniquely St. Moritz, try ice skating, curling, or the legendary Olympia Bob Run, a natural ice track for serious adrenaline junkies.
St. Moritz's après-ski scene is a blend of upscale elegance and lively mountain charm. On the slopes, spots like Paradiso offer early starts to the festivities with fondue, oysters, and Prosecco on sun-soaked terraces adorned with sheepskin throws. For a more laid-back vibe, Alpina Hütte provides hearty meals and DJ tunes, making it a favourite among skiers looking to unwind. In town, it’s all about refined sophistication. The Renaissance Bar at Badrutt’s Palace Hotel exudes old-world charm with its crackling fireplace and elegant patrons. For a unique experience, La Baracca, housed in a former construction trailer, serves Argentine-style steaks and attracts a diverse crowd, from heiresses to ski instructors.
