Davos Klosters is a winter sports destination with a unique mix of history, adventure, and Alpine charm. Considered a birthplace of modern skiing, it has over 150 years of winter sports tradition, and today, it provides access to world-class winter sports. The resort features the famous Parsenn ski area, which was actually the site of the world’s first T-bar lift. However, Davos Klosters isn’t just about skiing - it’s a thriving Alpine hub with breathtaking mountain scenery, vibrant culture, and a welcoming atmosphere. Despite its heritage, the town has a modern, cosmopolitan feel, offering everything from high-end wellness retreats and fine dining to family-friendly adventures and homey mountain lodges.
The ski experience at Davos Klosters extends across six mountain areas, each with its own character. Parsenn is the largest and most famous, known for long, wide pistes and the legendary 12 km run to Küblis. Jakobshorn is the place for freestylers and snowboarders, featuring snow parks and lively après-ski. Madrisa and Rinerhorn cater to families, with gentle slopes and kid-friendly activities. Schatzalp offers a more relaxed experience with slower-paced skiing and stunning views. The resort also plays host to freeride zones, night skiing, and alternative winter sports like fat biking and sledding.
Davos Klosters has a vibrant and varied après-ski scene, with everything from lively mountain-top parties to cosy, rustic bars in town. The legendary Jatzhütte on Jakobshorn is an iconic après spot, known for DJ sets, wild parties, and a massive sun terrace where skiers celebrate after a day on the slopes. Over at Bolgen Plaza, the atmosphere is just as electric, with music, drinks, and a fun crowd. If you’re looking for something unique, you can get an authentic Alpine experience at Stall Valär, a former cow barn turned bar. Or head to Chalet Bello to dance late into the night. Otherwise you’ve got Gotschna and Parsenn, offering the classic laid-back après spots with scenic terraces - perfect for unwinding with a drink and soaking in the views.
