The Ski Resort

Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort in California's Eastern Sierra offers a welcoming atmosphere for winter enthusiasts. With a summit elevation of 3,368 metres, the resort provides over 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, reliable snow and varied runs. At the heart of Mammoth Lakes is The Village, which serves as the resort’s social hub. It’s bustling with a variety of restaurants and bars, fitness centres, shops, and even indoor entertainment options like a bowling alley. Due to its central location, guests also get direct access to the slopes via the Village Gondola. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a seasoned regular, Mammoth Mountain's diverse terrain, comfortable lodging, and vibrant village ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience.

The Ski Slopes

Mammoth Mountain is known for its massive terrain, deep snow, and something for every kind of skier or rider. The mountain gets an impressive average of 350 inches of snowfall each year, meaning powder days are frequent, and the season lasts longer than most. For beginners, wide, groomed runs like Broadway and St. Anton are great for building confidence. Intermediates have plenty of options, with runs like Mambo and Solitude offering smooth, scenic descents. Advanced skiers and boarders can test their skills on legendary runs like Cornice Bowl and Scotty’s, while true thrill-seekers can take on the Paranoid Chutes or the steep, technical lines in Dropout and Wipeout. Freestyle riders will love world-famous terrain parks, including a 22-foot Superpipe that attracts some of the best riders in the world. Families and first-timers are well taken care of with beginner-friendly zones and adventure trails designed to keep things fun.

Après Ski

Mammoth Mountain boasts an outstanding choice for eating out and a vibrant après-ski scene. The options vary in cost, location, and style, so you can experience everything from sophisticated lakeside dining to a burger spot with a beer. Historically, the liveliest après-ski spot is Yodler, a Bavarian-style lodge lifted straight from Europe (apparently). Otherwise, there are a handful of lively bars slopeside or elsewhere. There’s also the Weekend Après Party on the Canyon Lodge Sundeck, a lively weekly event featuring a live DJ, champagne showers and sponsor giveaways. Whether you're in the mood for a high-energy party or a laid-back evening with good food and drinks, Mammoth Mountain's après-ski scene caters to pretty much all preferences.

We'd like to wish you an enjoyable holiday in the snow and please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have any queries regarding your insurance cover.
