Worst British Airport for Summer Delays is Revealed
London airports have been experiencing the most flight delays among airports in Britain with nearly 31% delayed.
Gatwick has been pronounced the worst London airport for delays with 43% of its summer flights departing at least 15 minutes late. British airports have had the busiest summer on record with over 78 million passengers passing through within the three summer months.
Last month, passengers at Gatwick faced long delays after an oil spill was on the runway which also caused some flights to get diverted. At least 18 incoming flights were diverted, with other flights suffering delays up to an hour.
