FCDO Warn Travelers of Early Forest Fires in Portugal
The British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office have warned travellers of a heightened risk of early forest fires in Portugal.
The warning comes as Portugal are currently experience drier weather conditions than usual for this time of year.
Travellers heading to Portugal across the summer months have been advised to “take care when visiting or driving through woodland areas,” and to ensure that “cigarette ends are properly extinguished.”
The FCDO also advise travellers not to light barbecues or leave any empty bottles behind.
