What is the definition of a cruise?

The definition of ‘cruise’ when it comes to travel insurance means travelling for leisure on a ship or vessel, where you stay onboard overnight and stop at various ports. Generally speaking, this is booked through a specialist cruise provider and involves a cruise liner ship.

Please note that a ferry crossing would not count as a cruise, even if you are onboard overnight.
