What is an excess?

Most Travel Insurance policies have an excess, this is the sum that is payable if you need to make a claim on the policy. The excess applies to certain sections of the policy and will be deducted from the sum that is payable to you for any valid claim. The excess will apply to each person claiming, and to each incident and to each section of the policy under which a claim is made.

Some of our policies offer the ability to reduce your access for a small additional charge or alternatively increase your excess for a discount on the policy price. For full terms and conditions please refer to the specific policy wording you are purchasing or alternatively contact our Customer Service team on 0330 380 3600 who will be happy to assist.
