More than 10 people have reportedly been injured when a coach and a bus collided head on in Majorca.
The incident, which happened near the popular tourist resort Costa del Pinos on July 10th, consisted of a Tui Travel coach and a local bus service.
Although it is not known if any UK citizens were involved in the traffic accident, no Britons had been injured in the crash, the British FCDO confirmed.
The Mirror reported that the road was closed off as local Spanish police, ambulance, and fire crews attended the scene at around 2pm local time. 12 people are believed to have been taken to hospital or treated at the scene by medical professionals.
“We confirm that a Tui bus was involved in a road traffic collision with a public bus in a narrow street at Calla Major, Majorca, Spain” a spokesman for Tui said, speaking about the incident.
“No Tui guests were on the bus at the time of the accident, the driver of the TUI bus was not harmed. The Spanish authorities are investigating the case.”
