So you’re looking at going away, but there’s so much to think about, you just don’t know where to start! Don’t panic! We are here with our top tips, so that you can plan your perfect holiday, stress free.
Where to Go?
When planning, your destination is one of the most important choices. It’s important to think long and hard about where you want to go, to make sure that you can say that your trip was money well spent. Your chosen destination is also important, as it influences other factors, such as, how much the trip will cost you, and what activities you want to do.
You need to think about how long you’d like to go away for. Do you want to go for a city break, a two week all inclusive, or a three month backpacking experience? Similarly to when choosing your destination, the duration of your trip can also majorly influence other factors, including costs, and activities. A 3 night break away in Paris, will not cost the same as a 3 month trip around Thailand!
Do Your Research!
So how much is this all going to cost? What can you get up to in the area around your accommodation? How long is the transfer from the airport? All of these things need to be thought about, in order for everything to pan out just the way you want it to. In order to make sure you are prepared, and have every scenario covered for your perfect holiday, it is important that you research factors like these. Make the most of your trip, by noting down your findings in a small notebook, so that you can take them with you on the go.
So Much to do, but so Little Time!
It’s now time to plan the activities you want to do in order to get the most out of your trip. Do you want to skydive in New Zealand, ride a camel in Morocco, surf in Australia, ride a jet ski in Florida, or go to a Disneyland in Paris? Obviously, different activities will cost different prices around the world, so it is important that you research the prices of your chosen activities, in the country you are going to, so that you can save the right amount of money.
Save, Save, Save!
Once you’ve done your research, and have worked out how much this is all going to cost you, you can now begin to save. If you struggle to save, try to create a breakdown of your expenses. Writing down what you spend, is an easy way for you to see where you can cut back, resulting in you being able to put more money towards your trip. Just remember, the more you save, the sooner you can travel! Now For the Best Bit - It’s Time to Book!
You’ve planned where you are going, and have done your research on the area, accommodation, and what you want to get up to. It’s now time for the best bit - you can book your trip (yay). Make sure you take your time, and do not rush the process. If you are booking online, sit down with a cup of tea, and reread all of the details to ensure they are correct, as this is when mistakes can happen!
And last, but not least, is travel insurance. Now we may be slightly biased here, but travel insurance is such a vital part in any trip. Not only will it cover you for medical emergencies, but it can also cover you for trip cancellation, loss of belongings and even trip delays. Have a worry free holiday, knowing that you are covered!
