How to get yourself a cheaper holiday

July 2016

Holidays can be expensive, especially for families who are limited to school holidays only, where holiday prices soar. So we are going to share our top tips on how you can cut down on the price of your holidays.

Book in advance

If you like to have the safety of knowing where you are going and spreading the costs out, then many holiday company offer early booking deals. Early booker deals often include discounts, kids go free, free meals etc. in order to entice people to book for the new holiday season.

Book last minute

If you are more of a booking last minute kind of person, you too can still get some incredible deals. In order to get the best deal for your late booking, we advise that you book eight weeks before you intend to fly, this is because most holiday companies release their ‘last minute deals’ around this time. This way you are more likely to get a better hotel, room, and plane seats, than if you were to book just a week before.

Although you may have gotten a great holiday deal, you've found that you're flying from an airport half way across the country. In order to cut costs, weigh up whether it will cost you more altogether paying a little bit more to fly from a nearer airport, yet saving on taxi fares, petrol and airport car parking, or get an amazing deal yet have to pay for your taxi fares, petrol and airport car parking.

Sign up to newsletters

Although we already get spammed enough from companies that we signed up to 10 years ago, try signing up to travel companies newsletters. By signing up to their newsletter, you will be the first to get alerted to all of their latest deals and offers.
