Budget winter sunshine breaks revealed by KAYAK

Winter-holidays-are-a-good-way-to-escape-the-cold

Even though we’ve had a decent summer by UK standards, that ship has sailed and many Brits will be preparing for the icy embrace of winter to come knocking.

However, for a lucky, and more prepared few, the colder months offer up the perfect opportunity to head abroad, where the sun is still shining.

Indeed, travel search engine KAYAK has found that a holiday of this type is much more of an option for holidaymakers than many people think.

Using its ‘Explore’ tool, the company has put together a handy list of possible destinations for those seeking to escape the frosty clutches of winter this year.

The list includes places that will remain around 26 degrees C for October, November and December but that tourists won’t have to break the bank to visit.

All the destinations on the list, which range from European to more exotic countries, cost under £650 to fly to.

Trips to Dubai and Mumbai are included, both of which can be reached for under £400.

And if you fancy heading west this winter, there’s even a few transatlantic options available, with trips to Florida and Mexico on the cards.

Of course, if you don’t feel like going too far away, there’s a whole host of countries closer to home for you to explore on a budget. Cyprus and Tenerife are just two examples of trips that could be low in costs but high in sunshine!

UK managing director of KAYAK Annie Wilson said: “Today’s holidaymakers are very sensible to their needs when it comes to booking a break and for many the date and guarantee of sunshine is often more important than the destination itself.”

So it doesn't have to be all doom and gloom this winter; there’s still a chance for you to get some sun and plan a mini-adventure away.
