What is ice go karting?

Ice go karting involves driving a go kart around a frozen or specially prepared ice track. The slippery surface makes controlling, steering and braking the kart more challenging than on an ordinary track.

Can I get travel insurance for ice go karting?

Yes, cover for amateur ice go karting can be available through the policies offered by Direct Travel.

Select ice go karting when getting your quote and check that it appears on your Policy Certificate or policy documents. Make sure you choose the correct activity, as ordinary go karting and ice go karting may be listed separately.

What can travel insurance help with?

If you’re injured while taking part in insured ice go karting, emergency medical expenses and repatriation can be covered, subject to the terms and limits of your policy.

Depending on the policy selected, cover may also be available for cancellation, curtailment, personal belongings and other travel related problems. Personal Liability is not covered while using a motorised vehicle. Travel insurance also does not cover damage to the go kart or the cost of repairs.
