FIRST TWO CASES OF SWINE FLU CONFIRMED

Health officials confirmed Zimbabwe's first two cases of the A/H1N1 flu on 9 July 2009. The first case involves a man who recently arrived in Zimbabwe from London, while the second case involves a local school boy who recently returned from a trip to South Africa. Both cases are currently receiving treatment. The cases have prompted a heightened medical alert countrywide, with medical surveillance teams deployed at all of the country's entry points
