Kidnappings of foreign nationals & demonstrations over violence in Gaza

There have been a number of kidnappings of foreign nationals since mid-2005, including in the Governorates of Ma'rib, Shabwah and 'Amran. The latest incident happened on 2 January 2009 where three South Arican nationals were kidnapped, including two children. They were released unharmed. There have been demonstrations in both Sana'a and Aden following the escalation of violence in Gaza since late December 2008.
