Five killed in bomb attack
07 Jul 2008
On 5 July 2008 a bombing occurred near a post office in Saada, located approximately 150 mi/245 km north of the capital city of Sanaa. At least five people were killed and several others were injured in the explosion. The Saada region has been the centre of a Shiite rebellion since 2004. There was no claim of responsibility for the 5 July bombing, but a security source claimed that the device was similar to those the rebels have used in prior attacks.
