Airliner crashes on way to Comoros

A Yemeni airliner with 153 people on board has crashed in the Indian Ocean near the Comoros archipelago. Although some bodies have been recovered, it is not yet clear whether there were survivors. The Airbus 310 was operated by Yemeni state carrier Yemenia Air and was flying from the Yemeni capital Sanaa. Most of the passengers were believed to be travelling from Paris. Airline officials said there were 142 passengers, including three infants, and 11 crew on board, adding that most of the passengers were Comoran or French.
