Tropical Storm Mundille strengthens as it approached the coast of Vietnam

On 23 August 2010 Tropical Storm Mundille was strengthening as it approached the coast of Vietnam and is expected to make landfall on Vietnam’s northeastern coast within 24 hours. According to meteorologists at Wilkens Weather Technologies, as of 0900 UTC the storm was located approximately 190 mi/305 km south of Hainan, moving west at 14 mph/12 kt. Maximum sustained wind speeds are currently at 46 mph/40 kt, with higher gusts.
