Further Snow Storm Expected
09 Feb 2010
U.S. officials stated that government offices in the Washington, D.C., area will remain closed on 9 February 2010 in the wake of a blizzard that covered the mid-Atlantic region with two feet of snow. A second storm was forecast to bring an additional 10 to 20 inches of snow to the region, including in Baltimore and Philadelphia. Authorities have warned residents of power outages and severe transportation disruptions as a result of the storms.
