New Snow Causes Further Disruption
13 Jan 2010
Further snowfall in some parts of the country has caused further disruption on transport networks. Up to 15cm (six inches) of snow blanketed Wales and south west England overnight before moving on to the Midlands and the South East.
Train companies including East Coast, Southern and South West Trains have warned passengers to expect disruption on some routes this morning. Eurostar says a near normal service will run today, with only a few cancellations.
Some airports including Gatwick have closed their runways for snow clearance, causing delays and cancellations. Passengers should check with their airline before they leave.
