FURTHER BUS DRIVERS STRIKES PLANNED

On 11 September 2009 bus drivers in Manchester launched a 24-hour strike over a wage dispute. More than 800 workers from First Group took part in the strike, disrupting routes in Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Trafford, Stockport, Salford and Rochdale. First Group drivers have planned three more strikes, scheduled for 14, 21 and 28 September.
