Further 4 Day BA Cabin Crew Starts At Midnight
26 Mar 2010
Cabin crew at British Airways will launch a four-day strike beginning at 0000 local time on 27 March 2010 as part of continued protests over planned changes in staffing levels. The airline expects that more than 75 percent of its passengers will be able to travel during the strike, as some employees are not participating in the industrial action. Flights to and from London's Heathrow Airport (EGLL/LHR) will be the most significantly impacted; the airline is scheduled to operate 70 percent of long-haul flights and 55 percent of short-haul services at the airport. Flights to and from London City (EGLC/LCY) and Gatwick (EGKK/LGW) are expected to operate normally. A three-day strike launched by cabin crew over the same issue on 20 March resulted in the cancellation of hundreds of flights.
