BRITISH AIRWAYS AND VIRGIN ATLANTIC ACTIVELY SCREENING FOR SWINE FLU

Reports have stated that British Airways is currently conducting H1N1 screenings on all its passengers. As part of the policy, passengers exhibiting flu-like symptoms are not permitted to board flights and health officials are alerted to any potentially infected individuals. British Airways officials stated that the policy is standard procedure for such medical situations. A number of passengers have been barred from their flights since the policy was enacted in the last few weeks. Sources also indicated that another British airline, Virgin Atlantic has also adopted similar measures for all their flights
