BA Strike continues

22 Mar 2010
Disruptions to British Airways flights are continuing on 22 March 2010 as cabin crew at the airline stage a strike for a third consecutive day to protest proposed changes to staffing levels on flights. The industrial action resulted in the cancellation of approximately 1,110 of 1,950 British Airways flights scheduled to operate out of the United Kingdom on 21 March and is causing further delays and cancellations on 22 March. The planned three-day strike began shortly after midnight local time on 20 March after negotiations with airline management collapsed. Flights at London’s Heathrow Airport (EGLL/LHR) -- where many of the union cabin crews are based -- were the most significantly impacted. An additional four-day strike is scheduled to begin on 27 March if the dispute is not resolved
