BA Strike continues

On 27 March 2010 a four-day strike by British Airways cabin crews began and reportedly caused the cancellation of at least 93 flights scheduled to depart from London Heathrow Airport (EGLL/LHR). The strike action was the second by the British Airways cabin crews since 20 March, although airline officials predicted fewer disruptions than the strike that ran from 20-22 March. Airline officials stated that approximately 17,000 passengers will be unable to travel due to the flight cancellations. In addition to the walkout, the cabin crews also gathered at a soccer field to form picket lines around Heathrow Airport. The current strike is scheduled to run through 30 March.
