Heavy rain causes mudslides

Heavy rains caused mudslides in various areas of Trinidad & Tobago. In Penal, a mudslide blocked Lachoos Road, which is the main connection to Penal Rock Road. Landslides and floods also affected the areas of Santa Cruz, Diego Martin, Maraval, Las Cuevas, North Coast Road, Cocorite, Blanchisseuse Main Road, Tunapuna, Saint Joseph, Mount Saint Catherine and Gasparillo. Authorities have cautioned travelers against using Lady Young and Saddle Roads, as well as parts of North Coast Road.
