Pre-Existing Medical Conditions

If you have a medical condition for which you would like cover, then we will need to discuss this with you in person rather than you purchasing a policy here on our website. What do we mean by a pre-existing medical condition?

a) Any respiratory condition, heart condition, circulatory condition (including hypertension, stroke, transient ischaemic attack), back condition, malignant disease or any psychiatric disorder or mental illness (including stress, anxiety or depression) for which you have ever been diagnosed or received treatment.

b) Any other medical condition for which you are expecting to receive or have ever received medication, treatment, surgery or investigation in a hospital, clinic or general practitioner’s surgery unless fully resolved and no longer requiring medication and/or medical supervision.

Please note that cover will not be provided for any claim arising from undisclosed medical conditions, and it is consequently of vital importance that you talk to us with any concerns that you may have.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition?

We are able to cover the vast majority of pre-existing medical conditions without any additional premium under our Premier, Premier Plus, Winter Sports and Senior Citizen policies.

For some pre-existing medical conditions you may be required to pay an additional premium in order to include cover.

In all cases, cover for pre-existing medical conditions is dealt with on a one-to-one personal level through our telesales call centre.
