Tourists can see some stunning sights when they visit the US in the fall.
Travel insurance policyholders wishing to see the famous fall foliage can do so in many parts of the US.
Stella Clery-Ackland, spokeswoman for the US Travel Association, says many people believe they can only witness this sight in New England, but there are a number of other spots that are just as impressive.
"The USA has some of the planet's most spectacular national environments which produce a stunning show each autumn as the weather changes," she explains.
Michigan is just one of the destinations that should be seen, as the state has plenty of beautiful trees that change colour from mid-Septmber.
Heading along the US Highway 2 from Ironwood to St Ignace in Ottowa National Forest, as well as the National Scenic Byway and Hiawatha National Forest, could provide people with an experience to remember.
"Turning leaves are accompanied by harvests, colourful fields of fat, ripe pumpkins, farm markets and apple orchards," Ms Clery-Ackland claims.
Stopping off at a historic cider mill is a worthwhile move, as plenty of these can be found when driving between Cross Village and Harbor Springs through the Tunnel of Trees and along Emmet County's M-119, the expert continues.
In fact, almost half of Wisconsin contains plenty of trees to provide the fall foliage experience, which tends to last between six and eight weeks.
Colours will peak initially along the Lake Superior shoreline towards the end of September, while they will appear at their best in mid-October across southern Wisconsin.
Capital Region USA recently suggested Virginia's Busch Gardens could suit the whole family, as they provide beautiful landscapes, historic homes, shops and great restaurants.
