Beaches, parks and outdoor areas could provide an alternative day out for families visiting Florida.
Families looking to stay entertained while holidaying in the US might want to explore the parks and beaches that are dotted around one eastern state.
Will Seccombe, chief marketing officer for Visit Florida, explained that the region has plenty to offer, including outdoor pursuits, sightseeing opportunities and sunny coastlines.
"The diversity of the state is just remarkable and ... there are so many unique one-of-a-kind state parks, springs and older, more traditional attractions," he remarked.
Those interested in hiking, kayaking or cycling should not be disappointed, as these activities are available throughout the year.
Indeed, the scenery and landscape are often "overlooked" by travellers arriving from the UK or elsewhere in the world, Mr Seccombe continued.
Anyone concerned about the quality of travel information available online could take advice from the expert, who claims the Florida Live website - hosted by the tourism body - has the most recent photos and reports about the region, as well as live webcams and local updates.
What's more, he believes there is "no reason not to be in the Sunshine State", so consumers might want to update their annual trip insurance policy and schedule their flights immediately.
Meanwhile, people who have been following news coverage of the recent oil spill in southern America could be pleased to hear that a study - conducted throughout August - from Travel Leaders has revealed that 80.5 per cent of agents from the area have not seen a fall in the number of bookings as a result of the disaster.
