Travellers find more to discover each time they visit the South American country, according to a spokesman.
People looking to enjoy a long-haul holiday each year have been seen to return time and again to Brazil, according to a spokesman.
Glauco Chris Fuzinatto, UK and Ireland director at the Brazilian Tourist Office, explained that the vast size of the country, as well as the attractions it offers, encourage travellers to see more and more of what the nation has to offer.
Some 200 million people live in Brazil and their contributions to the country's tax system have boosted the opportunities for tourists and investment has made this possible.
The expert continued by saying the availability of flights has also encouraged more travellers to South America and many have combined a trip to Brazil with stops in Chile, Argentina and Peru, adding: "Bear in mind that when you fly over South America from Europe, you have to fly over Brazil. So it makes sense that you stop over on your way there or on your way back."
Travel insurance policy holders keen to explore the nation could do well to keep its size in mind, as a flight from the north to the south of Brazil would take 11 or 12 hours, which could prove too much for a short break of a week or two, Mr Fuzinatto continued.
But if they needed any more convincing, explorers might be pleased to hear Brazil has been voted the second-best country to travel in by Lonely Planet's Best in Travel 2011 awards - it was pipped to the post by Albania.
