Trips to Virginia are not complete without visits to Richmond and the Historic Triangle.
Tourists heading to the USA on holidays who are planning to visit Virginia have been given some advice on the best places to go to during their break.
According to Lisa Cooper, spokeswoman for the Capital Region USA UK Press Office, no vacation in the state is complete without checking out Richmond and the Historic Triangle.
She noted that this is because Richmond is full of history, due to it being at the heart of the Civil War.
Ms Cooper pointed out that the 150th anniversary of the event is being marked this year, so it could be the perfect time to go and learn about the history of the USA.
She recommended a trip to Tredegar Mill, along with a number of museums, while the expert also pointed out that there are hundreds of restaurants to choose from.
"The Historic Triangle tells the story of the first settlers from the UK in Jamestown. Yorktown is a small town that highlights the revolutionary war and Colonial Williamsburg is a step back in time to life in the 18th century," said the spokeswoman for the Capital Region USA UK Press Office.
Ms Cooper recently stated that there is more to do on a trip to Washington DC than take in iconic sights such as the Capitol Building and the White House.
She recommended a visit to the Smithsonian Museums, which were featured in the film Night at the Museum 2, starring Amy Adams and Ben Stiller, as well as restaurants such as the Charlie Palmer Steak House, Ted's Bulletin and Mie N Yu in Georgetown.
