The ongoing cold snap is causing problems with the UK train network.
People commuting by train in the UK may fall foul of the problems caused by the ongoing cold weather.
Network Rail has announced some of the country's networks have been disrupted thanks to plummeting temperatures and heavy snowfall and some routes have completely ceased to operate.
East Midlands Trains services are not running between Sheffield and Liverpool Lime Street. Commuters can travel to their destination through Leeds, but should expect ongoing delays. The same detour applies for those looking for a route between Doncaster and Cleethorpes, which is usually operated by First TransPennine Express.
Replacement buses may be available on some stretches, but none are expected on journeys between Sheffield and Huddersfield, Wakefield Kirkgate and Knottingley or the Leeds line to Goole.
Meanwhile, anyone trying to traverse between Middlesbrough and Witby should be advised no replacement buses have been put on to compensate for the trains being cancelled and should find another mode of transport.
However, a signal issue is causing further commuter disruption for South West Trains at Bentley and a reduced service has been set up between Alton and Farnham, and two trains per hour will run until further notice.
Single trip insurance policyholders that are scheduled to travel on the Eurostar today should check their documents before leaving home as some journeys have been delayed or cancelled, particularly those that were due to leave in the early hours of the morning, or in the evening.
The trans-channel train operator is currently running a revised service as a result of adverse weather conditions and has advised passengers to rearrange or cancel their trip where possible, but to turn up at their allocated time and they will be accommodated where spaces are available.
