Djerba and Port El Kantaoui are likely to be popular holiday destinations in Tunisia, according to one official.
Holidaymakers looking to book their 2011 breaks might consider some of the resorts available in Tunisia.
Ffion Davies, press attache at the Tunisian National Tourist Office, explained how Djerba and Port El Kantaoui have plenty to offer visitors and more frequent connections between the UK and the north African country could boost their appeal further.
"Only last year did Tunisair reopen its route from London to Djerba making the island more accessible to British tourists," Ms Davies explained, adding that additional flights are opening with other operators during the remainder of the year.
Families heading to the country might consider Yasmine Hammamet and Port El Kantaoui, as the expert states they are purpose-built for holidaymakers and the former boasts a theme park, ice rink and water park, alongside great hotels, ports and beaches.
Those looking for an exciting activity to participate in during their break might head out into the desert close to Djerba, which is two hours' drive away from the centre. Many of the local hotels can arrange an excursion, but participants should ensure their travel insurance policy stretches to cover the trip.
