Travellers head for the mud in South Korea
Travel insurance customers headed to South Korea this summer are certain to get muddy at Daecheon Beach.
Boreyeong Mud festival will see truckloads of mineral-rich mud dumped on the shoreline for locals and natives to dive in and get dirty.
The event takes place between July 11th and 19th and, according to the Telegraph, attracts more than one million visitors each year.
In what was described by the newspaper as one of the world's weirdest festivals, adventurous travellers can participate in mud-skiing, mud wrestling, a mud king contest or enter the photography competition.
Once hosed down, holidaymakers can enjoy an evening of relaxing on the beach and watching the summer night mud concert or the mud firework fantasy display.
According to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, many people visit South Korea from the UK each year. Fully comprehensive travel insurance is highly recommended.
