August and September could be the ideal time for travel insurance customers to visit Dubai, according to one expert.
Ramadan takes place during August and September and could provide a great opportunity for tourists to explore Dubai.
This is according to Nikki Hain, product manager of Premier Holidays, who explained that amenities like swimming pools and shopping malls stay open much later during this period and create a unique atmosphere.
She added: "This is an ideal time to explore and experience the culture and heritage of Arabia ... many visitors choose to sample the regional delicacies and traditional beverages in a different Ramadan tent each night."
Shisha bars are dotted around the area in "charming and fashionable" tents, but water sports, spas and golfing pursuits can be enjoyed.
Beaches on the coast of the nation will also remain open for longer to accommodate residents and tourists that are out and about later than usual.
Tourists looking for an alternative view of the city might like to climb to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa - the world's tallest tower - or explore the waterfront developments like the Palm Jumeirah and the Burj Al Arab, Ms Hain continues.
Consumers looking for flights to the province should not find it too difficult, as Dubai Airports recently revealed a year's worth of double-digit growth in passenger numbers, handling 3,684,192 travellers during June 2010 - which is an increase of 9.6 when compared with the same period last year.
Anyone considering a trip to the Middle East this year could do well to look into the
travel insurance options available before they set off.
