Travel insurance customers 'cannot leave the office at home'
Travel insurance customers may wish to consider a holiday this summer in an attempt to get away from the stresses of the workplace.
According to research from Expedia.co.uk, the workplace has become a bigger part of people's lives and they are finding it increasingly difficult to leave the office behind while on a break.
"People think there will be some massive change and the whole world will come to a grinding halt without you at work and then they come back and everything's normal," explained Jonathan Cudworth, head of product marketing at the company.
Mr Cudworth went on to say that people have a different work to life balance nowadays and developments in technology mean it is a lot easier for people to keep in touch with work while they are on a getaway.
Research from Lastminute.com published in May found that some 47 per cent of Blackberry users kept in contact with their workplace whilst they were on a staycation.
Expedia .co.uk revealed that some 60 per cent of people plan to take their full holiday entitlement in 2009, despite mounting pressures from work.
