Despite its reputation for casinos and flashy hotels, Las Vegas can provide a cultural experience for those who want to look for it.
Culture vultures might not put Las Vegas high on their itinerary of places to experience heritage or history, but one expert states there is plenty to keep this type of visitor entertained.
Nadine Hallak, marketing and PR executive at Cheapflights Media, said artistic and gastronomic attractions are rife, so holidaymakers might want to make note of her recommendations.
"Culture on The Strip is often overlooked in favour of the casinos," Ms Hallak explained, adding that people do not have to blow their budget to find other things to do.
The Reclining Connected Forms sculpture can be spotted in the heart of the city. It is a piece created by British artist Henry Moore, while Maya Lin turned her hand to the Silver River installation, which may also hold appeal.
Foodies can dine in myriad restaurants and eateries on a range of budgets, from a buffet lunch at the Bellaggio - which Ms Hallak recommends for sheer variety of dishes - that is less expensive than evening hours. Diners at the famous venue can feast on "the best seafood and burgers to sumptuous sushi", alongside "pretty much anything a food lover's imagination can dream up".
Las Vegas is currently proving popular among UK travellers - who are likely to be holiday insurance policyholders - as DiscoverAmerica.com published figures that put the city in the top five of those searched for by British visitors to the website.
Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco also made the grade, with the top spot being awarded to New York City.
