Travel insurance policyholders looking for their own slice of paradise might like to give the Greek island of Paxos a try.
Travel insurance policyholders looking for their own slice of paradise might like to give the Greek island of Paxos a try.
This is advice from Gerry Copsey, managing director of Planos Holidays, who explained that there were often plenty of good deals on flights to the area, largely because it is separated from much of the mainland and has its own economy.
Mr Copsey claimed that the locals on the community had pulled together in order to keep prices low or to maintain the status quo, resulting in Paxos "bucking the trend" of sky-high prices seen in other resorts.
Companies are "able to offer some good deals in an idyllic destination, largely unaffected by what's going on in the rest of Greece", he continued.
Meanwhile, Nadine Hallak, of cheapflights.co.uk, recently predicted that the country will most likely lower prices across the rest of the islands in an attempt to restore the wavering economy.
