Head south for sun-soaked Easter breaks, says one expert.
Holidaymakers who are looking to indulge in some fun in the sun this Easter may wish to head south where sunshine is more or less guaranteed, it has been suggested.
Travel portal SimonSeeks states that while tour operators often portray the image of Mediterranean destinations being sun-soaked at this time of year, it is not always the case.
"It can be cool and unsettled in places like Majorca, the Algarve and even the Costa del Sol," it suggests.
However, by heading further south to destinations such as Egypt, the Canary Islands or Cyprus, holidaymakers will be more likely to find high temperatures and sunny weather.
Additionally, it suggested that if people are heading overseas at Easter, as well as at other points of the year, purchasing annual
multi-trip travel insurance will cover all of the yearly holidays, while potentially saving money and meaning less hassle for the holidaymaker.
According to ABTA -The Travel Association, some two million Brits travelled overseas during the Easter bank holiday weekend last year.
