Britons heading away on short breaks this year will likely head to destinations such as Tunisia and Morocco, it has been predicted.
Tunisia and Morocco will be among the top destinations for short breaks this year, experts have said.
According to Frances Tuke of ABTA - The Travel Association, while traditional hotspots will still be popular in 2010, non-eurozone countries will likely win out among British holidaymakers this year as travellers continue to find low-cost ways of heading abroad.
Searching for the cheapest
travel insurance could also be helpful to these holidaymakers when it comes to cutting costs.
"We saw a bit of a hit being taken on short breaks last year, but if people feel that they can afford to take them they will. It's something that people always want to do," she added.
Last month, Thomson and First Choice predicted that Turkey will be among the most popular
summer holiday destinations this year, closely followed by Morocco and Tunisia.
The two companies also said that Britons will continue to be most concerned about getting value for money from their breaks in 2010 and will closely scrutinise what is and is not included in their package deals as a result.
