People searching for accommodation in London in the future could be in luck as the hotel industry is set to be improved in time for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Planning a holiday can involve a huge checklist of things to remember such as travel insurance, flights and suitable accommodation.
Those looking to visit London in 2012, however, could find the latter quite easy to arrange as one expert claims the Olympic Games will give the Big Smoke's hotel industry a boost.
Jacqueline French, spokeswoman for Visit London, explained that more business people are booking conference suites and meeting rooms in the run-up to the Games, which in turn is bringing in more cash to the hotels.
Indeed, tourists are not likely to be inconvenienced by the construction of additional hotels and the Olympic Village - as it will not take place in the centre of the city.
Ms French stated that transport links and attractions are operating as normal and "they can have their regular London experience without being impacted" - and people who have seen the city once might be pleased to hear "there is still a lot for repeat visitors to discover".
This contingent may have contributed to a 6.3 per cent increase in people who sampled London's free and paid-for attractions during June this year - a figure that Visit London claims is the highest rise since September 2009.
Sights like Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey are all within easy distance of each other and can be reached using the capital's extensive public transport system - which can also be used as an accessible way to get to the Olympic Village once the Games are up and running.
