People travelling to the Isle of Wight this year should find suitable attractions, whatever the age or interests of their party.
No matter what time of year tourists arrive on the Isle of Wight, they should find plenty to keep them occupied.
This is if comments from an Isle of Wight Council spokesperson are anything to go by. The expert points out that the scenery and walking excursions could interest anyone looking for a relaxing break, while the annual Bestival music event is a little more upbeat.
"[The island] may be only minutes from the mainland but it feels like another world entirely with an atmosphere far removed from the stresses and strains of everyday life," the official continued.
Indeed, pubs, beaches and historical sites are all plentiful and should offer enough variety for any group of visitors.
Places of archaeological interest could make an ideal outing for a family with children as Sandown Bay is popular for finding fossils, the spokesperson added.
One of the location's most recognisable landmarks is the Needles rocks on the west coast - colourful cliffs and the chalk structures themselves may provide a great photograph opportunity.
Getting around will not be a problem, as according to the council expert, the island's bus network is "comprehensive", but bicycles can be hired for those looking to keep active while on holiday.
Two-wheeled transport is best taken along the traffic-free cycle paths which lead to "tranquil" settings and "spectacular" views.
The aforementioned music festival takes place between September 9th and 12th, close to Newport on the Isle of Wight. Acts such as the Prodigy, the Flaming Lips, Dizzee Rascal and Simian Mobile Disco will take to the stages during the showpiece.
Anyone heading off on holiday, whether it is in the UK or abroad, should invest in a sufficient
single trip insurance policy.
