Increased flights are helping the Caribbean become a more cost-effective break for some winter sun.
Brits wanting to make the most of a
multi-trip travel insurance policy for some winter sun may wish to consider a break in the Caribbean.
This is according to Alistair Daly, marketing director at On the Beach, who explained that although the Caribbean has always been a popular choice for British holidaymakers, flights are becoming cheaper and making it a more "affordable choice".
He said: "The Caribbean is still a great destination for those seeking winter sun."
"This year, several airlines including BA [British Airways] have increased flights to the Caribbean and this increased competition will drive prices down," he continued.
Mr Daly went on to say that although flights may cost more than those to Europe, prices once in resort will be lower in the Caribbean.
BA announced at the end of August that it will be adding extra flights to its schedule to Barbados, St Kitts and Grenada for the summer 2010 season.
