Thailand 'suits all budgets'
Thailand has something to offer travellers of all budgets, a writer for the Sydney Morning Herald has stated.
Windsor Dobbin stated that even holidaymakers on a backpacker budget can enjoy a stay in the country.
He recommended that travellers on a small budget may wish to investigate Ancient Realm, describing it as "an absolute gem" for those who are watching their costs.
A bar and restaurant can be found on the beach, while an open-air health spa - offering treatments such as body scubs - and a makeshift cinema are located nearby.
Best of all, he said, Ancient Realm is only a short tuk-tuk ride away from the larger Koh Lanta town of Saladan, which is home to the ferries linking the region with Krabi.
Citing figures from the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) estimated that around 812,000 people travelled from Britain to Thailand last year.
The FCO advises all travellers headed to Thailand to ensure they have a comprehensive travel insurance policy in place before they go.
