A diverse array of cultural, sporting and interesting excursions could contribute to Tenerife being a suitable destination to visit at any time of the year.
The island of Tenerife could be a good option for tourists interested in visiting an exciting destination that has plenty to do, even outside the peak season.
Jose Manuel Bermudez, vice-president of the Tenerife Island Government and councillor for tourism, explained how a number of cultural and sporting events could keep people entertained.
"In addition to its arts scene, authentic cultural background and year-round perfect climate, exciting events [occur] in Tenerife," he explained.
A remake of the film Clash of the Titans is being carried out and the nation's Ladies Open Golf Championship is set to take place this year.
Families, adventure-seekers and couples should find something that suits their tastes and the lesser-known destinations are becoming increasingly popular for these groups, Mr Bermudez continued.
He said these spots "attract travellers inspired by its wealth of natural beauty, rich culture and interesting selection of boutique hotels".
Mount Teide is located in a national park and is the most visited of its type in Spain and could be worth a visit if travellers are looking for an active excursion for a day or two.
However, anyone pursuing a relaxing beach holiday might be pleased to hear that ten of Tenerife's sandy outcrops have been awarded Blue Flags.
Indeed, potential visitors who would like to see the attractions before booking their trip to the destination could do well to check out a new YouTube channel hosted by the Tenerife Tourism Corporation.
Videos depicting the fiestas, adventure experiences and nature attractions have been uploaded and members of the public are encouraged to submit their own films.
But before they embark on their holiday, tourists should invest in a
single trip insurance policy to cover the costs in the event of an accident or injury.
