Tampa Bay is a sunshine-filled destination with plenty of activities to enjoy, it is claimed.
Travel insurance policyholders keen to book a holiday that offers them great weather might be wise to consider Tampa Bay in Florida.
According to James Litston, UK representative at Tampa Bay & Company, the area has "year-round sunshine" to offer, as well as a variety of beaches on which to enjoy the favourable climes.
He says the stretches of coast are "some of America's best", but there are plenty of other attractions to keep tourists busy.
The Westshore district is an important business area and there are a number of shops for those keen to splash the cash.
Particularly favourable attractions include the Busch Gardens theme park, Adventure Island water park, Canoe Escape and the Florida Aquarium.
Such spots might also prove particularly appealing if the warm weather gets too much for some visitors.
Culture vultures can check out the Latin Quarter - known as Ybor City - as the cafes are popular and the nightlife is a big draw.
The Dali Museum recently reopened, which could make it another must-visit destination for the summer.
For visitors who like a bit more adrenaline during the holiday, Mr Litston has a suggestion.
"New for this summer is Cheetah Hunt, a one-of-a-kind coaster at Busch Gardens that opened last weekend," he says.
Figures published by STR referring to US hotel performance on the week ending May 21st found the Tampa-St Petersburg district was among the top 25 markets.
The area saw an 18.8 per cent occupancy increase to reach 62.9 per cent.
