Boston offers a once in a lifetime chance to enjoy beautiful scenery while cycling.
People who are looking for a trip with a difference in the new year could consider taking themselves off the US, and more specifically to Boston, on a cycling trip which allows them to take in more of the majestic city.
According to Eric Hutchens, general manager of Holidays By Rail, Boston offers a holiday with an excitement that just cannot be replicated elsewhere for those who enjoy to cycle. He says that although it is a trek for Brits to cross the Atlantic for a cycling holiday, it can be worth it, especially to escape the damp and dreary UK weather.
"It's a long way to go for a ride but one of the most exciting places to visit for cycling is Boston."
Boston offers cycling holidays which will befit those of all ages and abilities. For the hardened cyclist who wants to enjoy something with a difference in a unique setting, the city offers many challenging cycling tracks which can allow them to diversify their experience, so long as they have travel insurance in case they should injure themselves.
For those with less experience, and families just looking to do some sight-seeing, other options include the gentle meandering cycle paths around the coast which will allow holidaymakers to enjoy "exploring one of the most enchanting and beautiful areas of America."
Mr Hutchins also said that cycling in the US can be a lot safer than in the UK, with American drivers typically more considerate of cyclists, while the roads are wider, and tend not to be as busy out of the city as UK roads.
Visitors to Boston can also enjoy seeing such impressive sights as the famous Museum of Fine Arts, while sports lovers may want to visit Fenway Park, the oldest baseball stadium in the entire country.
