The top priorities for holidaymakers this year will likely include sunshine and value for money, according to one expert.
Britons looking to book their
travel insurance and jet off on an overseas holiday are likely to be looking for sunshine and value for money.
This is according to Ian Bradley, spokesperson for the Association of Independent Tour Operators, who says that top destinations look set to include those in the Middle East and North Africa.
Greece and Cyprus could also fulfil holidaymakers' needs, despite being situated in the eurozone, which was particularly expensive to travel to last year.
"The usual hotspots are the ones that will probably turn the corner quickest ... The traditional typical markets are the ones that will be the first port of call for families," Mr Bradley remarked.
According to the Post Office, Britons will be able to get the most for their money in locations such as Jamaica, Egypt and Dubai.
The eurozone countries studied by the organisation also look set to be cheaper to holiday in than last year.
