Spain is still a particularly popular holiday destination among Britons, according to new figures.

Figures from villa advertising site Owners Direct show that millions of people take holidays in the country every year.
It says that it received over 200,000 booking enquiries for villas in Spanish destinations between January and July 2009, up 40 per cent compared with last year.
The Costa del Sol is the most popular region of Spain among British holidaymakers, receiving 50 per cent more queries than the Greek Islands and Tenerife combined.
Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics showed that 3.35 million Britons visited Spain in the second quarter of 2009, compared with 1.7 million in the previous three-month period and 13.8 million for the whole of 2008.
Those heading to the country may want to take out
