Britons are continuing to flock to France on ski holidays thanks to some good deals, according to one expert.
Low-cost deals are helping to lure Brits to France for winter sports holidays, according to one expert.
Commenting on figures from easyJet showing that five of the top ten ski destinations for Britons are based in France, Vanessa Fisher of the Ski Club of Great Britain said French resorts were initially expected to perform poorly this year.
However, the introduction of price reductions and the fact that these resorts had guaranteed snow means they have done well this year.
"British tour operators have lots of chalets available in the French resorts. British clients ... like staying in a chalet with their family, so that's helped their popularity," Ms Fisher remarked.
The figures from easyJet showed that Britons are increasingly booking their
ski insurance for trips to Chamonix, Avoriaz and Meribel in particular, all of which are located in France.
Other popular resorts were found to include Les Arcs 1800 and Val d'Isere in France, and Pas de la Casa and Arinsal in Andorra, along with the Austrian facilities of kitzbuhel, Innsbruck and Soll.
