Skiers 'can save money at smaller places'

Category: Ski Insurance News
Skiing can be a great activity for a winter break

Ski enthusiasts who want to hit the slopes on a budget have been advised to go to lesser-known places.

While ski insurance is a must-have for people carrying out the exciting sport, recession-hit holidaymakers can still reduce their expenses elsewhere.

Vanessa Fisher of the Ski Club of Great Britain suggested that skiers going to France try looking at the less expensive resorts just outside the major valleys.

In addition, she said that all-inclusive package deals could prevent unexpected extra costs and that packed lunches can save money on day trips.

The Telegraph recently reported that catered chalets are cheaper for ski trips than they used to be.

Capacity, however, has been reduced.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, conditions remain ideal.

In the Pyrenees and Alps they have been found to be as good as they have been for 25 years.

Over Easter, the pistes were said to be in very good shape and the snow cover was reportedly ideal.ADNFCR-2301-ID-19361919-ADNFCR
